Safety Reminders

Protective Gear:

  • All boys must wear an athletic supporter during all practices and games.
  • Protective cups are highly recommended for all male players.
  • Male catchers must wear a protective cup.
  • All players warming up a pitcher must wear a catcher’s helmet, face mask and chest protector. This applies whether on the field or in the bull pen area.

Uniforms:

  • Full uniforms only. No short pants or jewelry.

Cleats:

  • Metal cleats may only be worn by Junior Baseball Players.

Pitchers:

  • No adult may warm up a pitcher.

Food:

  • Players may not chew gum during practice or games.
  • Players may not have food in the dugout area. Only water is permitted in the dug out area.

 

Player/Parent/Spectator Guide

Players will be removed from the team, or benched for the duration of the game, for any of the following reasons.

  • Use of foul or abusive language.
  • Threatening gestures toward players, officials or spectators.
  • Fighting at anytime.
  • Leaving the dugout without permission.
  • Eating in the dugout.

Parents and spectators please keep in mind that the example set by the adults is the one the children will follow. All league officials including managers, coaches, and umpires are on a volunteer basis. Regardless of whether you agree or disagree with specific actions, please remember they are donating their time and efforts to provide a good league for your children.

Parkrose Little League is proud to have a ZERO TOLERANCE policy for drugs, alcohol and abusive behavior. There is also a no smoking policy on any school property or at Burnside Field.
